Welcome to The Highbury Centre!
Founded in 1893 as The Foreign Missions Club, our guest house has accommodated thousands of pastors, missionaries and ministers from nearby and further afield. Many have benefited from a stay in our serene surrounding for over a century.
Our mission today still is to provide affordable accommodation to those who serve the Lord from across the world. Find out if you are eligible for the discount, here.
We also welcome guests of all denominations and faith or none.
The Highbury Centre is ideally situated in the heart of London in a delightful conservation area, yet we are only three miles from Central London. We hope you will enjoy the peaceful setting of The Highbury Centre.
One of the main attraction people want to visit when coming to London is the Tower Bridge. And it is a great choice. The bridge is majestic, historical and an engineering masterpiece. The middle section is opening up regularly to let taller vessels go through.
It is worth to check the lift times and see it happening.
Beyond this the bridge holds a special exhibition. Visitors can walk through the upper level of the bridge and look down to the traffic and the river through the glass floor. Might not be the best for those with a fear of height but it is definitely a unique experience.
Visiting a City farm in London is a great way to escape the busyness and crowds of the capital. These green oases offer you a great day activity, especially for families with children.
Vauxhall city farm is a free entry, lively site with several animals such as rabbits, ducks, horses, alpacas and so on. They regularly run farm-related workshops as well.
Please find more information on their website.
"Quiet, clean, it's location is convenient, and the people are friendly"
"We found the location to be lovely. The rose garden was inspiring. The walk through the park to get to the Underground was calming. We will definitely use the Highbury Centre again."
